Chris Bertish’s Transatlantic Crossing | By the Numbers
On March 9, 42-year-old Chris Bertish made history by completing the first-ever crossing of the Atlantic Ocean via standup paddleboard. Bertish began his historic journey in Morocco and landed at English Harbour in the Caribbean island of Antigua. Along the way he faced countless challenges including shark encounters, equipment failures, unfavorable trade winds, loneliness and harsh storms.
