The Austrian SUP pioneer, Peter Bartl, starts the 2013 season with JP-Australia. Bartl’s most important 2012 accomplishments in the young sport of SUP include first place at the German NP SUP Trophy, third place at the longest SUP race in the world, the 11-City Tour in Holland, and first place at the Salon Nautic Paris Sprint race last December.
Bartl, who also holds courses for certified SUP instructors, will be involved in JP-Australia R&D. He will work closely with JP Shaper Werner Gnigler, and JP Product Manager Marko Postonjski on the development of the new race boards and inflatables.
Bartl will compete at a number of the Standup World Tour’s 2013 European stops and remains the strongest force to be reckoned with at the NP SUP Trophy.
“I am looking forward to working together with the guys at JP who are already very successful with their windsurfing part of the business and are also heading the same way with SUP,” said Peter, “I am very motivated and can hardly wait for the race season to begin.”
