(Orange County, Calif.) –The Watermans Paddle for Humanity announced today that the legendary waterman and SUP athlete would be headlining the Chuck Patterson Signature Series Rally Race at all five stops of the 2012 Paddle for Humanity series. Chuck’s experience and credibility lend prominence to the already stacked five stop series.
Although better known for his wave ski and shark encounters, Patterson’s support of the sport of standup paddling and the greater paddling community is unmatched. For Chuck the event is all about growth and giving back. “My passion is really to promote the SUP and get more people involved with the sport that has given me so much,” said Patterson when asked about his signature event. Each event will feature a different “obstacle” involving running and/or an alternate paddling course.
The 2012 Waterman’s Paddle for Humanity will consist of 5 events this year staring on April 28th in Dana Point, June 2 Deerfield Beach Florida, July 7th Lake Tahoe, August 25th Washington DC and Sept 15th Austin Texas. Our stated goal is to raise $100,000 for our non-profit partners while raising awareness to their causes and introducing communities to the sports of Paddling.
