Industry News: Yolo Boards Goes Costa Rican

Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (January 28, 2011) – YOLO Board recently toured Costa Rica solidifying existing international relationships at both Vista Guapa in Jaco and Zancudo Lodge in Golfito. Located on the central Pacific coast, Vista Guapa is a surf camp for surfers of all skill levels headed by seven-time Costa Rican national surfing champion Alvaro Solano. Zancudo Lodge, widely known for being an exclusive sport fishing resort, is located on the southern Pacific coast and also offers surfing, stand up paddleboarding and eco tour vacations. Both resorts are retailers of YOLO Board products and use YOLO boards for rentals and tours.

“The YOLO Board mantra of ‘You Only Live Once’ so closely aligns with the Pura Vida lifestyle that we felt Costa Rica was a natural choice for our first international connection,” explains Jeff Archer, co-founder of YOLO Board. “Both Vista Guapa and Zancudo Lodge offer amazing experiences for those with adventurous spirits who wish to experience a new culture while seeing the beautiful Costa Rican countryside. We’re honored to have YOLO Board represented at these locations.”

Stand up paddleboarding is growing in Costa Rica. I live in the Malpais / Santa Teresa area and we frequently see them at Playa Hermosa and also Playa Los Suecos. There are a couple of places for lessons too.
