Taking place during Japan's Golden Week holiday, Enoshima will be a hive of activity as the APP World Tour comes to town to showcase the best of the best on its World Championship Tour. Unique to Japan this year, and due to local restrictions for this venue given the timing and that it is the first year in this new venue, there will be a prestigious field of Japanese athletes that will be invited to step up for battle with the world's best men and women, coordinated by the Local Japanese Committee and the JSO (the Japanese Industry Association). Wild card slots are to be decided by April 5th, with the final list of contenders to be released the same day, a month before the event. All athletes interested in taking part should email entry@appworldtour.com Prize-money will remain consistent with APP World Tour standards, with the $45k dedicated to the World Championship Tour purse for both men and women. Similarly, the event will feature the standard two days of racing, with the Long Distance race to take place on Saturday May 6 and Sprint Racing on Sunday, May 7. Please see the schedule below.
