(Irvine, CA) – O’Neill, the original California surf lifestyle brand, is proud to announce a clothing and accessory collaboration with the authentic American beer company, Pabst Blue Ribbon. The iconic American brands merge together to bring a series featuring several categories including boardshorts, tees and accessories available at select core and major retailers nationwide.
Designs will feature retro-inspired looks, including 19” Hybrid boardshorts infused with quick dry properties, trucker hats with bottle opening capabilities and a selection of graphic tees. “This season, we stayed true to our roots and designed with the American heritage in mind. The collaboration with PBR is a great way to celebrate the legacy of two American brands,” says Shawn Peterson, Vice President of O’Neill Men’s Design.
Sixty years ago Jack O’Neill changed the world of surfing by introducing the wetsuit and soon after the surf shop and surf leash. Since the late 1800s PBR has been a top tier American brand delivering quality products nationwide.
“With a combined 229 years of true American heritage, there are few other brands that reflect the authenticity, pioneering spirit, and reliability of PBR and O’Neill,” said Don McHugh, Chief Marketing Officer of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Today, O’Neill, like PBR, continues to challenge competitors by pioneering innovative designs and ideas to the industry.
The O’Neill x Pabst Blue Ribbon Collection will be part of the O’Neill Men’s Spring 2013 line launching mid-December this year.
