LAUNCH OF THE AIR TAHITI NUI WATERMAN WORLD TOUR
After creating the Waterman Tahiti Tour in 2014, airline company Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti Tourisme and Kainalu XT have renewed their partnership to create and launch the Air Tahiti Nui Waterman World Tour (WWT). The official launch will take place in San Diego California on September 12th with the first stop in the world circuit.
The Waterman Tahiti Tour (WTT) is a championship combining multiple water sports fought out in 5 legs on several islands. It is also, and most importantly, a preparation for the personal challenge that is the Bora Bora IRONMANA WATERMAN FINAL which takes place every December.

The goal of the WWT is to create franchised international legs based on the WTT (Waterman Tahiti Tour) format. Each of these legs will officially qualify the best watermen and waterwomen athletes for a unique chance to participate in the Tahiti-Bora Bora Holopuni Sailing Canoe Invitational. It will also allow them to see how they measure up to our best local athletes during 5 days of intense aquatic events in the Bora Bora Liquid Festival, better known as the IRONMANA WATERMAN FINAL.
For the first leg of the WWT, the choice of the US MARINE CORPS base at CAMP PENDLETON is symbolic as it is from here that the GIs organized operation Bobcat. This expeditionary mission to Bora Bora during WWII established a temporary US Military presence that would contribute to the notoriety of the island, its infrastructure and demographic make up …

Since it's inception, the WTT has given numerous foreign athletes the chance to discover and participate in legs of the tour in Tahiti and her islands. The WWT will now give the same opportunity to local athletes, allowing them to qualify for future international legs and represent Tahiti and the islands of French Polynesia.

The Waterman World Tour will be a unique opportunity to showcase French Polynesia. Each leg will be an occasion to promote the destination through the projection of films, traditional dance shows, and other activities. Honoring their heritage, the Waterman Tahiti Team will be the ambassador of Polynesian Liquid Mana.
A production team made up of a photographer, videographer, and logistics manager will follow each leg to produce documentaries, short series, or field reports and thus insure the media aspect of the event with showings on partner television networks and social media.

The KXT TV production team for the San Diego leg are:
• Grégory BOISSY (photographer on the road again)
• Marc-Antoine BOUV ANT (cameraman wet or dry)
• Stephan LAMBERT (production)
• Kavika KNIGHT (Stunts, makeup and logistics)
• Jean-Jacques BRIQUET (cameraman & steadycam skater)
