Jamie Mitchell’s “Decade of Dominance” On iTunes
Jamie Mitchell is regarded as the greatest prone paddler of all time. Some know him as only the big-wave charger that has been in the spotlight for the last few years. But Jamie Mitchell was a badass before he was a badass. For 10 years in a row Mitchell won what some call the “most grueling race in the world”—the Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboard world Championships, a 32-mile race across the Ka’iwi Channel between the islands of Molokai and Oahu.
Every year the world’s best prone and SUP paddleboarders gather in Hawaii to contest the “Channel of Bones.” Amongst the best paddle athletes of all time, Mitchell has the most impressive record of all time.
“Decade of Dominance” follows Mitchell as he prepared for his record 10th World Title in 2011. To win he had to overcome the competition, the mental barriers and the infamous channel that claimed iconic paddler Eddie Aikau’s life.
The award winning movie on this historic feat, “Decade of Dominance”, is now on iTunes.
Gerry Lopez, Kelly Slater, Dave Kalama and Rob Machado all appear in the movie.
“I’m really stoked to share my journey on my efforts to win my 10th Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard race,” Jamie Mitchell says. “I hope this documentary inspires you and motivates in any way possible! Thanks for the support.”
