Brody Welte, Head Coach of USA SUP and Paddleboard says, “We have decided we will not host regional events this year so we can avoid conflicts with other longstanding paddling events. We will focus on our three-day USA Championship which we are running on dates that don’t have a conflict for the paddlers. This is in the best interests of the USA SUP and Paddleboard team so we maximize the opportunity for robust competition.” Welte further added, “We will endeavor to hold regional events in 2018. First and foremost, we wanted to preserve the intention of what we set out to accomplish – a performance based team selection in 2017”
