This weekend marks the start of the O’Neil Tahoe Cup when paddlers will race Donner Lake outside Lake Tahoe, California. The race circumnavigates the lake (a five-mile course), starting and ending at the West-End Beach.
The O’Neill Tahoe Cup Race Series hopes to attract 400 participants and over 4,000 spectators to the Truckee-Tahoe-Reno Area from all over the United States, Hawaii, Australia and beyond.
The series continues in July with the Jam from the Dam and concludes in September with the Tahoe Fall Classic. Awards will be presented to the top men and women point champions in all three board classifications at the end of the series.
