Saturday, March 3
24th Annual Dana Point Ocean Challenge
Race fee: $25.00 – Event t-shirt & Lunch to first 350 that register.
Race out of Dana Point Harbor on SUP, surf ski or OC-1/OC-2. Courses offered include a long course, short course, and a separate SUP course. One registration fee is required for the day, however, each race requires individual registration entry.
Junior divisions (19 and under) race fee is $15 with no shirt or lunch, $25 with shirt and lunch.

Saturday, March 3 – Sunday, March 4
Florida West Coast Championships
The 2012 Florida West Coast Champs will be held at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center from March 3rd – 4th. Saturday’s races are for OC-6 only, with OC-1 and SUP races held on Sunday.
Saturday’s OC-6 race will include sprints in the morning, followed by an 8-mile race.
Combined times for the sprints and 8-mile race will be used to announce the 2012 West Coast Florida Champ. The OC-1 and SUP races include a 4-mile short course as well as an 8-mile distance course.

Sunday, March 4
9th Annual Cold Hands Paddle
The Cold Hands Paddle draws paddlers from all over the southland who brave the late wintertime ocean waters off Cabrillo Beach, in San Pedro, Calif. Come for the race, stay for the raffle and awards ceremony. The event is free to participate and a great way to start the paddling season. The race is a 4-mile course starting from outside Cabrillo Beach and finishing inside Cabrillo Beach. Divisions offered for paddleboards and SUPs, although dory boats, surf skis, kayaks, and OCs are welcome to participate as well. Event shirts will be available for purchase to support the Ocean of Hope Campaign. All proceeds from the raffle benefit the Sarcoma Alliance and the fight against cancer. Bring money for parking.
