The 6th annual Bluesmiths Paddle IMUA was one for the books. Over 200 paddlers were treated to sunny skies, strong currents and strong winds whipping the Maliko Run into a downwinder’s paradise.

Storylines were plentiful.

A 13-year-old nearly beat the entire field on a SUP foil. Andrea Moller returned to her winning ways after an injury forced her to sit out last year’s race. Josh Riccio and Kody Kerbox both put on strong performances to take division victories.

But while the racing was undoubtedly excited, what this event is truly about is the kids. The Paddle Imua raises money for Camp Imua–a week-long recreational camp for kids with disabilities. The camp give these kids an opportunity to do outdoor activities including horseback riding, surfing, kayaking and much more.

Check out the photos above to relive some of the excitement from this special event.
