Orlando: Urban Paddle Guide
Whether paddling Lake Ivanhoe under the downtown skyline or navigating the canals that connect the Winter Park chain of lakes, Orlando’s SUP community offers the ultimate urban paddle experience! The pristine lakes provide flat water paddling right downtown and throughout the city limits; they’re one of many reasons Orlando is called “The City Beautiful.” The access to urban lakes means you can transition from your business suit to cruising your board into a beautiful sunset within minutes.
Orlando’s central location also allows paddlers fast access to diverse paddling experiences through the region, from recreational nature paddling on the Wekiva River, to SUP surfing from New Symrna to Melbourne.
SUP enthusiasts can connect to a large community of social paddling, racing, yoga and fitness groups through the “Orlando SUP Community” Facebook page, hosted by local paddlers. Urban paddling doesn’t get better than Orlando!
