Adaptive Surf Program Creates Stoke

Over the years, standup paddling has opened up water sports to folks who had never before stepped foot on a board. Unlike a traditional surfboard, the stability of a SUP allows paddlers to feel comfortable while standing on the board, without fear of falling in. In fact, standup paddleboards have opened up a whole new range of possibilities when it comes to adaptive surf programs. As you can see in this video, programs are now able to bring the joys of surfing to children facing disabilities. With instructors riding the SUP boards along with the kids, they get to feel the thrill of riding waves on a stable platform. As you will see, the stoke on these kid’s faces says it all.
