Hanging Five on a SUP Foilboard? This Guy Can Noseride…

We’ve seen our share of SUP foilboarding footage since Kai Lenny sparked the foil revolution on his downwind board last spring. Spoiler alert: Unless it’s performed at a professional level, happening in big, critical waves or say, there’s a tiger shark chasing the rider, foilboarding can actually be kinda boring to watch. We’re not saying SUP foiling isn’t impressive, just that it’s difficult to find a paddler who makes it look different than all the rest. So, when we came across this footage of a GONG SUP rider going toes-over on his foilboard—a maneuver usually reserved for longboard surfing and one we’d yet to see done on a foilboard—we watched it twice. We recommend you do at least once.
