After a successful inaugural stop in the U.A.E. for the Abu Dhabi All Star Invitational, the Standup World Series and World Tour head to South America. From April 27 – May 5th some of the top standup paddlers in the world will descend upon Ubatuba, Brazil for a week of racing and paddle surfing at the Ubatuba Pro Grand Slam.
The World Series will kick off the event this weekend, featuring long distance and technical sprint racing, with the addition of relays, open and youth races. Paddlers competing in the World Series’ second stop of the year will battle it out for a portion of the prize purse, as well as points toward the World Championship Title.
Following the World Series racing, competitors on the World Tour will head to Itamambuca Beach for one of the most competitive stops of the year. Some of the best paddle surfers from Brazil and around the globe will put it all on the line at the second of six stops on the 2013 World Tour.
