Dreams are what keep us going. They are what we aim towards, what we work for and what we look forward to. That’s why we’ve created the SUP Dream Retreats: to offer standup paddlers the chance to explore the world in bucket-list fashion. From downwind paddling on Maui, to exploring the Galapagos Islands and everything in between, the Dream Retreats are meant to make your standup paddling dreams come true. Join us!
Whitewater Dream Retreat
Any level of standup paddler will revel at the chance to spend 4 days covering 44 miles of the Green River in the heart of Dinosaur National Monument. Beginners will benefit from the gradual, progressive increase in technicality of pool-drop rapids as the guided raft-supported trip moves through stunning alpine, high-desert canyons toward the final day of more continuous Class II-III+ rapids through Split Mountain Gorge.
Camp Bajan Blue
A week-long, bucket list women’s retreat in beautiful Barbados with pro instructors Casi Rynkowski and Anna Levesque. No matter what level your paddling is at, you’ll learn skills to have fun cruising, surfing, downwinding at Camp Bajan Blue! And you’ll do it all staying right on one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados.
Galapagos SUP Adventure
If you think your bucket list is full, think again: The Galapagos SUP Expedition is not to be missed. Join us for a trip of a lifetime! Guests will SUP, hike, snorkel and bike throughout this diverse region, experiencing the wildlife—giant tortoises, flamingos, rays to name a few—along the way. Expect dramatic cliffs, breathtaking volcanoes and, of course, turquoise waters. The team from Southern Explorations will be taking care of all your worries and making sure you have the experience of a lifetime.
Maui Dream Retreat
SUP Magazine and the world’s best standup paddle athletes—including Connor Baxter, Suzie Cooney, Zane Schweitzer and Jeremy Riggs met up in Maui in April 2018. We stayed at the luxurious Lumeria Maui on the island’s north shore and learned all we could about paddling in the Hawaiian islands. We did daily Maliko Runs (conditions depending), learned secret techniques, honed our fitness and ate fresh and healthy cuisine. And we want you to join us next year.
