The California 100 paddle race offers three courses, 25, 50 or 100-miles, down the Sacramento River between Redding and Chico, CA. The event is aimed at both competitive and recreational paddlers and is open to all paddle craft, including kayaks, surfskis, canoes, outrigger canoes, prone and standup paddleboards. The 100-mile course offers prize money for kayaks/surfskis, canoes, standup paddleboards and teams. Pre-race clinics will be offered to help paddlers prepare. Each clinic will have a different focus, including training, setting goals, nutrition, equipment and more. This event is organized by the Sacramento River Preservation Trust, a non-profit that works to preserve the natural values of the Sacramento River watershed.
