(Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) – YOLO Board announces that 52 paddlers ranging from ages 12 to 67 competed in the third race of the YOLO Board Mileage Builder Series this past weekend at Baytowne Marina in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Aside from typical steamy July weather, conditions for the race were perfect in the Choctawhatchee Bay as racers paddled for top spots in the three-mile race. The event was the third installment of a series of four endurance-building races scheduled from May to August. Only the four-mile race scheduled for August 13th remains to determine who will be the champions of the 2011 YOLO Board Mileage Builder Series in each division.

The race included six divisions with three classes for men and three for women. The divisions included 12'6" Race Boards, 14' Race Boards and Recreation Boards. Taking the top spots in the Men's 12'6 division were Matt Wise, Bradley Fenn and Jack Archer. Bernadette Leach, Donna Bandy and Allison Harden were the top three competitors in the Women's 12'6 division. In the Men's 14' Race Board division, winners were Steve Reeves, Sean Hughes and Jeff Archer, and winners of the Women's 14' class were Michelle Janczewski and Katrina Crowe. Men's and Women's Recreation division winners were Dave Crider, Joe D'Aleo and Jamie Fedorka, and Jessica D'Aleo, Gina Seton and Sarah Langdon.

The event also included a pre-race paddle clinic where participants were taught racing and paddling techniques by YOLO Board Team Racers Justin Cook and Gary Wise. The four-mile finale race event scheduled for August 13th at Baytowne Marina will also include a pre-race paddle clinic and is open to the public.
