BlkBox Surf Launches New Website
BlkBox Surf, maker of custom surf and standup paddleboards, is poised for growth with a new production facility, website, and SUP model.
BlkBox Surfboards and SUPs are shaped and glassed in the company's recently completed 3000-square foot facility located 30 miles north of Detroit, Mich. Blk Box has earned a cult following in recent years for their surf and race SUPs, particularly their Sidewinder Raceboards that have been ridden by Midwest SUP WPA race series champions the last three years in a row.
BlkBox is known for innovative shapes as well as pioneering technologies, including their proprietary resin formula, Resin-X, and the use of spread tow carbon in race and surfboard construction.
BlkBox Surf is poised for growth with increased capacity in their new facility and the launch of their new website.
BlkBox Surf is also very excited to launch their new all-water shape, The Uno. Available in 14' and 12'6 sizes, The Uno is a one-board solution capable of racing, touring, fitness, downwinding, and is even competent in surf.
BlkBox surfboards and SUPs are available directly from BlkBox, at a small number of dealers mostly located in the Great Lakes region, and from the popular website PaddleboardSpecialists.com. Paddleboard Specialists owner Gary Stone rode a BlkBox Sidewinder in the 2013 Carolina Cup and for the remainder of the 2013 race season. Stone's reviews of both the Sidewinder and new Uno can be seen below.
