(Huntington Beach, Calif.) - Current World Champion standup paddler Connor Baxter has joined forces with industry leading fin manufacturer, Futures Fins. He will be the face of the revolutionary Hawaiian Downwind fin and test pilot for a future Molokai rudder. Baxter, an accomplished big wave, kite and wind surfer, is widely considered one of the world’s best up and coming watermen.
No one is more excited about the partnership than Baxter: "To be able to ride with the best fins under my board is a dream come true," says the eighteen-year-old champion. The Hawaiian Downwind fin will debut at the 2013 Molokai2Oahu Paddleboard World Championships, July 28, 2013. Baxter has built a reputation crossing the Kaiwi Channel, or, “Channel of Bones,” coming in first overall for the last two years and setting the current 32-mile course record at 4:13:26.
Futures Fins is dedicated to making the best for the best. "Working with top athletes gives us the quality of feedback needed to maintain our position as the top performance-fin manufacturer in the world," says owner and founder Vince Longo. Adding, "Paddlers are starting to realize that what's underneath the board has a huge impact on performance." Futures Fins has been an industry leading Surf fin manufacture since 1996.
