Saturday, June 9 the world famous Santa Monica Pier and the Honolua Surf Co. kick off summer with the Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival.

This year features more events to celebrate the history of water sports at the Santa Monica Pier including:

-SUP & Paddleboard Races (1-mile Fun Paddle, 5.5 mile Long Course and SUP-only Luck of the Draw Relay)
-Waterman “Museum for the day” featuring historic surfing, lifeguard and waterman memorabilia
-Dory Races (1 mile and 3 lap courses)
-1-mile ocean swim and run/swim/run
-Awards for top finishers in all divisions
-World Paddle Association qualifying race
-Hula performances throughout the day
-Slackey guitar performances
-Catered lunch for all athletes
-One Free Pacifico Beer to athletes 21 and over (in the Pacifico Beer Garden)!

Heal the Bay is our beneficiary again, and the event will directly benefit its public marine education facility, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium.
