Tuck Fest 2015 Is This Weekend
How rad is Tuck Fest? It’s a three-day celebration of the outdoor lifestyle, with demos and live music, held in the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC). It hosts competitions in everything from climbing to adventure racing, slacklining to SUP. Trail running, kayaking and biking are also on the agenda. Pretty much anything you can do in the great outdoors will be happening at Tuck Fest. The crowd it attracts is both eclectic and eccentric. The common thread is love for the great outdoors and taking the liberty to celebrate it.
SUP activities at Tuck Fest 2015 include two flatwater races—one four miles and one eight miles—and a downriver SUP race through the Wilderness Channel—a section of the park with various whitewater features. There are whitewater demos and dog-fetching competitions. There’s even a scavenger hunt for the kids.
This weekend, from April 17 through April 19, if you happen to be anywhere near the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tuck Fest is worth checking out. And if you can’t make it, get out there and celebrate the great outdoors your own way.

(Ed’s note: Why these good folks chose “Gangnam Style” as the soundtrack for their SUP edit, we will never understand. But it’s good footage of the course, no less.)
