A beautiful August evening provided the perfect backdrop for the final race event which included an awards ceremony at the WaterColor Amphitheatre following the races. The Women's Division second- and third-place overall finishers were the On the Coast Magazine and Four Play teams while the Laser Awesome and Billabong teams rounded out the top three for the Men. The Sunset Beach Services and GUSU teams finished second and third respectively in the Elite Division. The top finishers for the fifth race include the Unbalanced, Billabong and SoWal Lifeguard YOLO teams in the three divisions.

"The involvement and enthusiasm from the community for this year's series was so inspiring," added Tom Losee, co-founder of YOLO Board.  "It has truly turned into a signature 30A event and we love watching it grow and evolve.  The support from our presenting sponsor Destin Real Estate Company allowed us to expand this year to include the Family Day events where many area children learned to paddle for the first time.  We're already looking forward to the 2011 series.  A big congrats to the winners and all of the racers from everyone at YOLO."
