Exclusive Gallery | 2017 Columbia Gorge Paddle Challenge

Hood River is a special place and the Naish Columbia Gorge Paddle challenge is a special race. Paddlers come from all over the world to compete on the mighty Columbia River, the watery divide separating Washington and Oregon. The wind howls upriver creating one of the best downwinders in the world. Steve Gates, Doug Hopkins and Naish set up an engaging (read: difficult) course in front of the Hood River Waterfront Park. The camaraderie and atmosphere at the event is friendly and fun, all while being one of the most competitive races on the elite schedule.

We were there to race and to cover the action. Check out the exclusive gallery above. We’ll see you in Hood River next year!
