The Eastern SUP Surf Circuit (ESSC) recently hosted Contest 2 of the 2014 series at Dolman Beach in Jensen Beach, Fla. With some of the best paddle surfers in the Southeast competing in kids, mens, womens and masters divisions, the ESSC highlights the progression of paddle surfing in the region.

Since the start-up of ESSC in 2010, upwards of eight regularly participating athletes have made their way to the Standup World Tour. Most notably current women's World Champion Izzi Gomez, her brother Giorgio Gomez and the Grant brothers, Fisher and Kieran. The ESSC is the proving grounds for the sport in the State of Florida and quickly becoming a premier venue for SUP surfing talent across the country.

Most notable is that proceeds from the ESSC are donated to The Ride Nature Organization, a non-profit organization that provides children worldwide the opportunity to surf and skate, donating boards to children in third world countries.
