The Butterfly Effect

Welcoming women into the world of paddling by hosting non-competitive events around the globe, the Butterfly Effect promotes healthy living, empowerment through sport and giving back to charity. Professional windsurfer and Founder Tatiana Howard has been spreading the 'Aloha' lifestyle outside of her native Maui for the past nine years to an estimated 4,000 Butterfly participants at 55 events in 17 different countries! Each event follows a similar format with a Hawaiian blessings, Hula, fitness/dance and paddling instruction leading up to a downwind or excursion paddle of three-to-five miles. A portion of each events' proceeds are donated to recognized and deserving charities, including Boarding for Breast Cancer Foundation, Susan G Komen Foundation, Girls on the Run Organization, SURFRIDER Foundation and more. The mission of The BE Aloha World Tour is to activate awareness of our individual impact on the world.
