#PPG2017 Kickoff Party featuring SUP Awards Announces Beneficiary
The #PPG2017 Kickoff Party featuring the SUP Awards presented by Salt Life will benefit the Young and Brave Foundation, a non-profit that helps affected children and their families dealing with cancer. The event will be held on September 28 at Doheny State Beach and will feature the SUP Awards show and music from Tim Curran and friends.
“The Young and Brave Foundation is proud to partner with the SUP Awards for 2017,” Matt Coulter, co-founder of Young and Brave says. “Were committed to those young, brave and battling cancer. Without community partnerships we’re nothing, so the opportunity to be part of this event is tremendous.”
The crew at SUP magazine is just as stoked.
“We’re excited to make The Young & Brave our beneficiary for the #PPG2017 Kickoff Party featuring the SUP Awards,” SUP magazine editor-in-chief Will Taylor says. “The work they do for those young families battling cancer is beyond important and we’re happy to help in the fight in whatever way we can.”
The Young and Brave Foundation was founded in 2011 when Coulter and pro surfer Nathaniel Curran’s friend was diagnosed with cancer. The process of helping them in their fight against the disease empowered them to help other people going through the same thing.
“We truly believe in love and with it that all things are possible,” Coulter says. “Thank you from our community to yours for believing in our kids, families and mission. Looking forward to an amazing night!”
