Tim Curran to Play at #PPG2017 Kickoff Party and SUP Awards
Pro surfer and musician Tim Curran will be playing live at the #PPG2017 Kickoff Party and SUP Awards presented by Salt Life on September 28 at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California! Doors open at 6pm.
“We grew up watching Tim Curran surf and we’re excited to have him come and entertain the standup paddling community,” says SUP magazine editor-in-chief Will Taylor. “His music couldn’t be a more perfect fit for a party at Doheny State Beach.”
Besides being an ocean-going musician Curran is a Salt Life ambassador as well as a supporter of the Young and Brave Foundation, a non-profit that helps affected children and their families fighting cancer. The foundation is the official beneficiary of the #PPG2017 Kickoff Party and SUP Awards presented by Salt Life.
“I just played the Ohana Fest and can’t wait to get back down there,” Curran said. “It’s a special place with such a great family and beach community. I’m excited to be involved and watch everyone compete over the weekend.”
The evening—which draws hundreds of SUP fans, industry insiders as well as the stars of the sport—is the official start to the biggest event in standup paddling, the Pacific Paddle Games, as well as the official 2017 SUP Awards party. The seventh annual SUP Awards are standup paddling’s highest honors and recognize the top male and female paddlers, philanthropies, expeditions, movies and performances of the year.
This is the first year that the event will feature a music headliner to entertain the crowd.
We’ll see you there!
