Directed by Sophie Corriveau, La Traversée is a short film about a SUP couple’s grassroots expedition to cross the US/Canada border on Lake Memphremagog. The paddlers–Antoine Caron Cabana and Élisabeth D. Taillefer–meticulously planned the journey that would take them over 30 miles as they began in Newport, Vermont and paddled for over nine hours until they arrived in Magog, Quebec. The film features scenic paddling and proves that with a little planning, any paddler can pull off the expedition of their dreams.
