What It Feels Like to Finish Molokai 2 Oahu

You know the Molokai 2 Oahu World Paddleboard Championships. The grueling 32-mile race that goes between the two islands returns at the end of this month for its 21st edition. As we speak, hundreds of paddlers are over-training, trying to sort nutrition for the race, booking last-minute escort boats, training some more and generally ramping up their anxiety to peak intensity in anticipation of what is, for the majority of the athletes, the most intense race of their year.

But you know what else comes at the end of the month? The end of the race. The finish line. The feeling of having accomplished something bigger than yourself. And that’s what the video above is all about: looking at that finish line, heading toward that finish line and, finally, crossing it. This is close to feeling M2O as you can get without doing the dance yourself. Enjoy, and check back for our coverage of the race as the month progresses.
