We’ve sung Kai Lenny’s praises plenty in the pages of our magazine. And he deserves every bit of it. He’s pushing the sport of standup every day, from the race course, to the surf, to the air. In the Winter issue of SUP magazine, a photo sequence with Lenny is featured in our Frames section (below) in what came to be known around the office as the Jalama session. Truth is, we don’t exactly know what little wedge he was riding in Central California when the pictures were shot by Dan Merkel. We just care that he was making it look casual, throwing air reverses and pulling into cover ups like he was on a 5’10 thruster, not a standup board. To see the photo sequence, pick up the Winter issue of SUP magazine. And check out the vid of that fall day in Cali.
