Red Bull athlete and pro paddler Casper Steinfath is not afraid of a good challenge. In fact, he embraces that challenge and puts all his effort towards achieving that goal. Such was the case with the formidable Viking Crossing, a 147-kilometer crossing of the Skagerrak Straight.
The journey would take him from his home in Klitmøller, Denmark to Norway and would require nearly 20 hours of grinding across frigid Norwegian waters. He first attempted the crossing in 2017, but fell just short as fatigue and hypothermia got the best of him. However, he re-trained and successfully completed the journey just over a month ago. Check out some of the highlights from his crossing in this succinct highlight video.
