Paddling On Glass on Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is well-known in the paddling community for good reason. The nearly 200-square mile lake offers endless room to paddle, as well as breathtaking views of both wilderness and the snow-covered Sierra Nevada mountains. While summer is the lake’s busiest time of year for watersports, early spring may just be its most beautiful.

Here we find three ladies taking full advantage of North America’s largest alpine lake with a peaceful paddle along its picturesque shoreline. With only the ripples from their boards disturbing the lake’s otherwise perfect sheet of glass, these paddlers enjoyed views deep into the crystal clear waters. Add to that impressive rock formations and towering pine trees above the waterline, and it would be hard to find a more calming and alluring SUP destination.
