Paddler’s View | SUP Foil Surfing with Speedometer

There’s been a lot of SUP foil surfing videos going around as of late. From the pros to the Joe Schmos, it seems like the foil has become everyone’s favorite new way to ride waves. However, there haven’t been many videos that actually give the viewer a true sense of what it’s actually like to ride a foil.

With this recent GoPro footage, we get to see not only the view from the board but also the real-time speed. Despite the fact that the paddler is riding a tiny wave, he still reaches speeds of over 30 kilometers per hour (20 mph). It just goes to prove that foiling will give you a thrill, even if the waves are less than desirable.
