Video | Touring Japan’s Countryside By SUP and Drone | Part 2
While bright lights and karaoke bars may dominate the landscape of Tokyo, much of Japan’s countryside is covered with lush green forests and long flowing rivers. That is exactly what paddlers Paul Clark, Brittany Parker, Bradley Hilton, Joey Saputo and Nadia Almuti found during their three-week expedition across the Land of the Rising Sun. In Part 2 of the series released from the trip, filmmaker Zach Mahone captures their journey in a way only a drone could, through terrain that is as varied as it is stunning. From rocky mountain rivers to tropical coastlines, Japan offers everything a paddler could dream of.
